Anganwadi Outreach

In the academic year 2019-20 the students of MSc Dietics and Applied Nutrition undertook a Nutrition and Health assessment, monitoring, intervention and follow-up of 11 nutritionally vulnerable families in nearby Kalmadi and Doddanna gudde community with help from local Anganwadi workers and helpers. This is an annual recurring community outreach activity that is undertaken by every batch of MSc DAN with the basic aim of improving nutritional status of risk groups in and around 中国体育彩票app下载. The students are not only able to hone their hands-on research and data collection skills but also give back to the community by coming up with plans that would help the communities. Every year, different communities are chosen to be a part of the program.
