Overview

The MSc in Financial Economics is a niche two year full time program that aims to facilitate students to bridge the gap between economic theory and practical aspects of finance. Globally, the financial sector has been experiencing a phenomenal growth and is witnessing dramatic and drastic changes with sophisticated operations, which has led to increased demand for financial practitioners. This program is developed to meet the increasing demand for specialists in finance and economics sought by financial institutions, companies and public sector organizations. The course combines economics, finance, statistics and mathematics and imparts rigorous training in the area of financial economics. This program helps the students to enhance their analytical skills, which will prepare them for wide range of career opportunities and also research opportunities in the area of economics and finance.

The MSc in Financial Economics program involves holistic development through interactive classes, use of case studies, group discussion, seminar, guest talks by industry experts, projects, events and training by workshops. The courses in the program are designed in close consultation with all the stakeholders including students, alumni, and subject and industry experts.
