CULTURAL COMMITTEE 2023-24 UTSAV – REPORT

The Cultural Coordination Committee of MAHE has always strived to provide a platform for its students to showcase their talent and creativity, and this year's edition of 'UTSAV' was no exception. From April 1st to April 5th, the campus was lively with the energy and enthusiasm of students from various campuses, including Bangalore, Jamshedpur, Sikkim, Jaipur, and Dubai. The 中国体育彩票app下载 College of Nursing students were an integral part of the event and participated in 30 out of the 32 events conducted by the cultural coordination committee of MAHE. The event was conducted across various venues on the campus, including KMC Greens, MAHE Food Court, Dr.TMA Pai Hall, and more. The theme for this year's Utsav was “Our culture, our heritage.”. On the first day, the faculty members were given the opportunity to showcase their talent, and our faculty members did not disappoint. Dr. Shalini Nayak, Assistant Professor, Senior Scale, MSN Department, and Mrs. Ranjani P, Assistant Professor, Senior Scale, OBG Department, secured third and second place, respectively, for the staff cooking events, which was a proud moment for our college. Our faculty members also received a special mention for their amazing performances during the staff variety entertainment. Over the next few days, the students participated in various events with the utmost dedication and passion. Our students secured prizes in various events, such as cartooning, cultural parade, Rangoli, mime, Eastern Dance Group, Western Vocal Solo & Group, and Western Dance group, showcasing their immense talent, and hard work, whereby made us on the scoreboard in 6th place for the first time in the history of MCON. Our college was assigned the responsibility of conducting the Eastern Vocal solo and Fashion show, which we executed flawlessly. We also assisted DOC and MAHE-TD in conducting the Antakshari Prelims on April 3rd and the Antakshari Finals on April 4th. The students and faculty members were excited about the event and participated with great enthusiasm, making it an unforgettable experience for everyone involved. The event was well-organized and executed, and we received positive feedback from everyone who attended. Overall, Utsav 2024 was a grand success that left a lasting impression on everyone's minds and hearts, under the guidance of Mrs. Sweety Fernandes, Cultural Advisor, and Ms. Sanju Pant the co-advisor, along with the student representatives Ms Jeslyn Joseph and Ms Angel Jossie. We look forward to being part of more such events in the future.
