WEBINAR ON QUANTITATIVE NURSING RESEARCH

The two days webinar on ‘quantitative nursing research’ was held between 26 and 27 May 2023 through Microsoft Teams Online Platform. This was organized by the first-year students of the Nurse Practitioner in Critical Care (NPCC) Postgraduate Residency Program, Medical-Surgical Nursing department, in collaboration with Pillar 2 (IoE): Exemplary 中国体育彩票app下载 and Innovation of 中国体育彩票app下载 College of Nursing (MCON), MAHE, 中国体育彩票app下载.

The webinar began with the welcome address by the NPCC student, Ms. Bhanu, followed by the inaugural address by Dr.Tessy Treesa Jose, Associate Dean, MCON, MAHE highlighting on the need for research.

Eleven topics in the area of quantitative nursing research were deliberated during the two days of the webinar (9 am-4 pm). The second day of the webinar commenced with the session on ‘Data Collection Techniques and Methods’ by Dr. Sonia R B D’souza, Professor & Head, Department of Obstetrics & Gynecological Nursing, MCON followed by the session on ‘Sample size estimation’ by Dr. Ravishankar N. Assistant Professor, Department of Biostatistics, Vallabhbhai Patel Chest Institute, University of Delhi. The forenoon sessions continued with the deliberations on the topics ‘Sampling’ and ‘Analysis and Interpretation of data’ by Dr. Soumya Christabel, Asst. A total of 94 participants (88 Non-MAHE and 6 MAHE) attended the webinar from 10 states namely Karnataka, Goa, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Sikkim, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, and Kerala. The webinar was well appreciated by the participants. The sessions of the two days webinar were moderated by Ms. Shwetha, Ms. Bhanu Priya Mahato, and Mr.Kallesh the student organizers of the first-year NPCC program.
