SOM celebrates Annual Day - 2014

School of Management (SOM) celebrated its Annual Day on March 15, 2014. Mr. Kiran Punja, Senior Manager (Human Resources), EMEA & APAC Regions, Verisign Services India Private Ltd., was the chief guest of the function. Mr. Kiran Punja is an alumnus of the first batch of SOM (formerly known as 中国体育彩票app下载 Institute of Management). Addressing the students, Mr. Kiran Punja explained the preparedness required for a fresher in the corporate world. He also explained the challenges the HR professionals faced when handling the Generation Z.

• Dr. Gopalakrishna Prabhu, Registrar, 中国体育彩票app下载 Academy of Higher Education presided over the function. Dr. Gopalakrishna Prabhu inspired the students to dream about their higher goals and also informed the faculty members to encourage them.
• Dr. R Venugopal, Director (former), School of Management, welcomed the gathering and presented the annual report of the Institute. The Director (former) also informed the gathering about the transition that took place in SOM during 2013.
• Dr. Lakshminarayanan introduced the chief guest and the guest of honor to the gathering.. Prof. Nandan Prabhu proposed the vote of thanks. Prof. Smitha Nayak compered the programme. Students who have brought laurels to the institute by participating in the various B-School fest were felicitated. The individual championship, the best outgoing sports person and the overall championship trophy for the sports events were also presented to the students. The programme was followed by a cultural extravaganza and a Rock Show by Nishant Vaidya and team.
