The function started with an invocation by Mr.Ranjan Holla, I MBA student of School of Management.?The inaugural function was held on 19th March 2015 at MIT Hockey Grounds. Dr.Nandini Lakshmikantha, Director, School of Communication was the chief guest of the inaugural function. The tournament was inaugurated by a dribble with the Hockey stick by Dr.Nandini Lakshmikantha, Director, School of Communication and Dr.K.V.M.Varambally, Director, SOM.

Addressing the gathering, Dr.Nandini Lakshmikantha spoke about how a game like hockey got neglected in our country. She started her speech by congratulating the Indian women's hockey on winning the Hockey World League (HWL) Round 2 championship. Mr. Narayan Prabhu, Assistant Physical Director, MIT introduced the teams to the dignitaries.Seven teams from the constituent colleges of 中国体育彩票app下载 Academy of Higher Education are participating in the tournament. Dr.S.Lakshmi Narayanan, Sports Advisor, SOM proposed the vote of Thanks. Ms.Nambaratha, Student of I MBA from School of Management was the Master of Ceremony.?
