On the occasion of National Nutrition Month September 2023, the Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics program, 中国体育彩票app下载 College of Health Professions organized a Nutrition Workshop “Best of Basics in Clinical Nutrition” focused on advance nutrition care process and care plan, for both students and faculties of Allied health science on 30^th September 2023 from 11am to 1pm. The esteemed guest speaker, Dr Diviya Muthukumar is a nutrition trainer and researcher, Director of Complete Nutrition Care, Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

The programme was conducted through a hybrid mode, in which Dr Diviya shared her experience and extensive knowledge in the field of nutrition through her extremely detailed presentation on the topic. Around 175 Students along with faculties from MCHP and WGSHA were gathered at Sharada Hall MCHP, to participate in the workshop. The talk was mainly focused on the various Nutrition Screening methods and how it has to be done in a systematic way by all the health professionals of this field. It aimed to teach the basics of clinical nutrition including Nutritional assessments, screening, use of various screening tools like MST, MUST, MNA, NRS, etc. The speaker also encouraged participants to have a practical experience regarding the topic. Dr Diviya spoke more about ABCD method of assessment which involved information regarding assessing all patients regardless of their ability to stand or cope with normal assessment techniques.?
