Applications are invited from outstanding students for the Summer 中国体育彩票app下载 Internship (SRI2020) Program at the 中国体育彩票app下载 Centre for Natural Sciences (MCNS), 中国体育彩票app下载 Academy of Higher Education, 中国体育彩票app下载, Karnataka.

The 中国体育彩票app下载 Centre for Natural Sciences is dedicated to the pursuit of fundamental research in the natural sciences. The SRI Program is an annual event which runs for 6 weeks over the summer. It intends to introduce the participants to the steps involved in the scientific investigations. Opportunities for SRI2020 are available in the following research areas:

1. Computational Chemistry
2. High Energy Physics, Neutrino Physics
3. Nuclear Physics
4. Observational Astrophysics
5. Planetary Science
6. Cosmology & Gravitation

Selections are highly competitive and only a limited number of supported internships are available. Support for internships includes:

• A consolidated stipend of Rs. 15,000/-? ? ???
  
• Free, shared, on-campus hostel accommodation

Clarification:

The travel expenses from the home institutes to 中国体育彩票app下载 and back as well as the food charges need to be borne by the participant. The stipend is meant to partially support such expenses.

• The course acquaints the intern with the entire research life-cycle from the statement of the problem to writing an original research article in the format of the best journal in the field.

?Who can apply:? Students who are highly motivated to do pure research and currently enrolled in: -

• M. Sc./ M. Tech. / Integrated M. Sc./ M. Tech. program at a reputed institution
• B. Sc./ B. Tech. ?/ B.A. (mathematics or related discipline) at a reputed institution

Applications received from students who have completed their studies (undergraduate or master’s degree within the last 12 months) and are not pursuing any coursework at present are also eligible for the program but will not be provided with financial support. Such students will be considered depending on vacancies.
