Workshop on Extraction of Banana Fiber from the Pseudostem was organized on 30/04/2022 by the Department of Design, 中国体育彩票app下载 School of Architecture and Planning, 中国体育彩票app下载 Academy of Higher Education. The workshop is a part of the grants received from the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India. The workshop was attended by a diverse group of the polytechnic, commerce, architecture, and design students and faculties. The participants were briefed on different methods of fiber extraction and the method of mechanical extraction of fiber was demonstrated. The participants were actively involved in the extraction of the fiber. The fibers extracted would be spun into yarn and the fabric is woven.
